Notes

The purpose of this volume is to introduce the student majoring in geological aspects of mineral deposits to industrial development of ferrous and non-ferrous ore deposits, as well as the deposits of rare earths, precious and radioactive metals, and scattered elements. For each metal and its most important geological deposits in the USSR and other countries, the book presents data on its historical and economical background and describes its chemistry, mineralogy, and metallogenic properties.

The book is intended as a college text but will also be of interest to industrial geologists.
